Emily Holmes

Emily Holmes creates music to enrich the soul... music designed to drown out the noise, which cloud and detract from life’s experiences, causing anxiety and stress.

Her music purifies the moment, allowing the listener to be to be fully present, embracing and accepting chaos in a therapeutic manner.

Whether the listener is experiencing stress or anxiety over the uncertainty of air travel, the chaotic beauty that is bringing life into the world or dealing with any difficult period of life, purity of moment is essential to fully understanding, embracing, and accepting the situation at hand.

Emily combines her years of experience as a classically trained pianist and composer, a labor and delivery nurse along with a passion for the value of music as therapy to provide the listener with music designed to center the soul, and heal.

Her first single for London Tone Music is called, Unspoken. The song, a contemplative solo piano piece, beautifully produced by Eric Lilavois of London Bridge Studio, stems from a period in Emily’s life, living in a little house, coming out of a long relationship. “I was writing a lot of music, going through a metamorphosis,” she recalls, “hoping to learn from the experience and come out a better, stronger person. The things I was afraid to say, the unspoken, I was able to express through my music.”

Not surprisingly, Emily is currently working on her Master’s Thesis on the healing power of music. She feels that writing music that can heal is her life purpose. When asked whether she would describe her music as neo-classical or new age, she decides it is neither. “I prefer the term, ‘healing arts.’”
