Whitney Lyman
Whitney Lyman is a singer/songwriter from the Pacific Northwest. She blends influences from folk, classical, and dream pop---creating an ethereal world with her enchanting voice and lush compositions.
Lyman self-released her debut album, "Wandering, Wondering" in 2012, engineered by Eric Corson (The Long Winters, Perfume Genius) and her debut album as a solo artist features an array of instrumentation from Indonesian Gamelan bells and drums to orchestral woodwinds, horns, and strings to accordion and banjo. Her Fiona-Apple-meets-Debussy piano and rich, haunting vocals are the anchor of the album.
In 2014 Lyman signed with London Tone Music group as part of their 52x52 launch. Her first single, produced by Jonathan Plum at London Bridge Studio is a beautiful, evocative piece of moody dream pop, called Laser Beam.
